Immigration-DEY TUK ER JERBS DERKA DURRRRRR!
Hello there. I'm here writing this blog on immigration. There's just to gosh darn many of them mexicans runnin around. They jump the border and come into beautiful America and defile her. So i have an idea. We should build a big ol' fence and put guards to watch said fence for these job stealers. Boy I'll tell you what, I saw my boy Bobby talkin to one of these immigrants the other day at the mall. He was fillin' my boys head with nonsense! Tellin' him he came to this country for a better life. God dangit Bobby! That theres trouble! He didn't earn his right to be an American and to work in this wonderful country. He doesn't have that American patriotism or spirit. Mexicans come and take good jobs regular American folk need.

Legal immigration is needed in this country. After all, The United States of America IS the melting pot of the world. We take pride in the idea that others come here to seek a better life. We offer freedom and opportunity for all. Yes, immigrants may take jobs, but that's only because they may be more qualified for it. It pushes Americans to strive to be better. Learning about other cultures will also open our eyes, and allow for us to create equality and understanding throughout the world. Understanding will bring compassion, and compassion will bring peace.

I agree with most of this blog although I think it is a little dramatic. Yes all immigrants should have to be here legally, no doubt about that. However, I think that this kind of bashes Mexicans and I disagree with that. I don't think that they are as bad as this portrays them. I also agree with Kenz that America needs to open up it's eyes and mind to the world.

While my character would whole-heartedly agree, (We jokingly made him have a 16-foot electric fence around his own house where he sits all day when he's off of work at his sweatervest store to watch small animals die on it) I would have a miniature heart attack if I personally heard someone say this. I am proud of America's diversity. I think immigrants hlp the country rather than hurt it and that their ideas will make us a better country as a whole. ithout immigrants, people would tend to be bigots and even racist. I am very much for immigraton and would remind this guy that he is a descendant from one. A fence would be costly, cruel, and counter-productive for the good of the country.

ReplyDeleteThe main problem with immigration isn't that there's too much, the problem is the system. The immigration process is much too complicated and we could make everything easier for ourselves if we simplified the process. Either way the immigrants will continue to pour into our country.
